Fairdale Bike Parts & Accessories
Fairdale Bikes is a U.S.-based manufacturer of bikes, parts, and accessories. While the company does sell individual components, accessories, and swag online, complete bikes are available exclusively through local bike shops. Its distributor network extends around the world, bringing Fairdale goodness to local shops everywhere.
World Champion BMXer Taj Mihelich started Fairdale in 2010, after his enforced retirement from BMX. The goal of Fairdale is to make bikes that bring the pleasure of riding to all. Today the company offers bikes for cruising, commuting, road rides short and long, touring, and errand-running.
The Flyer personifies Fairdale. A simple bike, it's perfect to take for a ride. Fat tires, tolerant of milder off-roads, a single gear, and, as with all Fairdales, built with a sturdy, light, resilient chromoly frame. Just a bit more complicated is the Lookfar, adding a rear derailleur and seven gears.
Town bikes are exemplified by the Daybird. Hewing closely to the 60s-era three-speed, with up-to-date kit andconstruction. Of course it has fenders and a chainguard.
Weekenders are exectly that; great bikes to take out for the weekend. Sturdy, capable, kitted out nattily with Shimano and a full complement of brazeons, load it up and take off. Models include upright and drop-bar versions.
The Goodship is a straight-up road bike. The Taj is anything but; it's a full-size, 26"-wheeled fixie with BMX style (and Odyssey parts).
All in all, Fairdale delivers the pleasure it aims to. Stop by your local shop and try one out.
