Free Agent Bike Parts & Accessories
Free Agent is a venerable name in BMX. Started in 1984, the company has a long history of producing excellent race and freestyle bikes. Today Free Agent is a member of the KHS family, still making ace race bikes and gorgeous, near-indestructible street-park rides. Free Agent bikes are available from local shops throughout the U.S. and from distributors on six continents.
Free Agent sponsors freestyle and race teams, both fed from the company's R.A.C.E.R. grass-roots program, where dozens of young riders get a chance at making it to the bigs. Future greats, from seven-year-old Travis 'The Torch' Goodwin to Hannah Haas, the scourge of the novice 11-year-old class in California, are riding Free Agent.
The race bikes are solid contenders. All built on aluminum frames, light and tough, with variations in size along both the amateur's favorite Speedway and the pro's Team lines to fit practically any rider, including two 24" cruisers, an oversize Limo, hewing closely to the top of the line, and the entry level Ambush.
The freestyle bikes are the company's bread-and-butter. A very wide range of models offers something for every style of ride and rider, with options in kit, fit, and color. Frames are very tough, as are wheelsets. FA specs its own brand in componentry wherever possible; Free Agent parts, also available individually, are few in number and large in performance. The Team frame is offered bare for custom builds.
FA's kid's bikes include several smaller full-BMX models and two beginner's bikes, the last with BMX styling but laid out and spec'ed for new riders, perfect for getting acquainted with the basics of cycling before graduating to the ramp. The Speedy and Lil' Speedy both offer a gentle introduction to the pedaling arts, with training wheels, coaster brakes, and comfortable cockpits.
Free Agent makes great BMX bikes. Visit your local shop and try one out for yourself.
