Kinn Bikes Bike Parts & Accessories
Kinn Bikes is a U.S.-based bike manufacturer. A tiny company, it produces the Cascade Flyer, a long-wheelbase bike sturdy enough for an adult passenger, with room to carry one. Bikes are available from shops in the northwest US.
Founded in 2012 by Alistair Williamson, who started out building a personal bike big enough to carry a young passenger comfortably, and ended up making a general-purpose practical ride, now in production. Riders universally laud the Flyer as an excellent bike. Today the Flyer is offered in two builds or as a frameset.
The Cascade Flyer extends the wheelbase of a normal diamond frame a modest amount, positioning passengers or cargo directly above the rear axle, increasing stability. The slightly increased length of the bike does not preclude normal use; the front wheel, with a half turn, will fit in any space a normal bike would use, from bus bike racks to elevators.
Nice details abound. A close look at any part of the bike is rewarded; for example, the rear deck's front half may be turned for wide loads or removed entirely for easy strap locations.
Kinn Bikes makes excellent practical transportation. Should the opportunity present, try one out and see if it fits.
