Mirraco Bike Parts & Accessories
Mirraco is a manufacturer of BMX bikes, both freestyle and race models. Founded by the late Dave Mirra, a regular gold medalist at the X-Games, the company follows Mirra's "start 'em young" philosophy, with models available for smaller and younger riders, ready to get the new BMXer fired up. From its beginnings in 2006, the company has grown to full size, now with several lines of specialty bikes and kid's models.
The Mirraco brand covers all freestylers. Special-use models include a heavier, stronger ride for vertical specialists, 24"-wheeled dirt jumpers, pegged grinders, and minimalist straight freestyle rides. The range of the last is impressive, with models in varying top-tube lengths, differing styles and colors, fat and slender tires, and more.
Frames, every one from the company's inception through February 2016 designed with guidance from Mirra, are all steel, with judiciously spec'ed cromoly for main tubes and fork legs. Style is a big player at Mirraco; color-coordination between frame and componentry is considered on every bike, with everything from all-charcoal rides, from frame to crankset to sidewalls, to a vivid gloss white model, highlighted with orange lettering and rims. The smaller Velle is outstanding: a bright purple frame is paired with a jet black fork and componentry, excepting the big platform pedals, the same purple as the frame. Kit is always reliable, from the most modestly priced models to the very top end; no performance sacrifice is made to branding at any point in the line.
The future is bright for Mirraco. Expanding their offerings for younger riders to include kids' bikes, distribution now available throughout North America thanks to Dynacraft, and continuing to make top freestyle bikes for serious BMX riders, the company is ready to provide for rider's needs from the very beginning of their riding career all the way to the podium. Stop by your local shop and try out a Mirraco BMXer for a great ride.
