Merida Scultura 5000 (2017)

The 2017 Merida Scultura 5000 is a mid-range road race bike. Kitted out with Shimano's ultra-reliable Ultegra drivetrain, a light, tough pair of alloy wheels, Continental's semi-slick Ultra Sport tires, and a carbon cockpit, it's light, responsive, and durable, bearing up nicely under the depredations of long kilometers on the road, surging acceleration, and the occasional hip check. The heart is the all-carbon frameset, available in a rakish matt black with subtle green graphics.
