Rapha Brevet Jersey

The Brevet Jersey is the bedrock of the Brevet collection, designed to be the go-to jersey for any style of riding that requires self-reliance - whether that be week-long adventures on gravel roads, or post-work spins on your local trails.

If your riding often sees you on the roads in low light, the Brevet Jersey’s reflective chest bands and arm stripe will bring an extra element of visibility to your outfit. These reflective materials use a dye containing an ‘optical brightener’, a treatment which captures light outside the visible spectrum and reflects it back as visible light.

The jersey’s three generous rear pockets are supplemented by a zipped, mesh-lined cargo pocket, providing ample storage for extra layers and supplies - and the jersey’s construction ensures that it stays in place, even with fully loaded pockets.

During a long day in the saddle, a poorly positioned seam or rough stretch of fabric can make the difference between a great ride and an ordeal, so the Brevet Jersey is designed with comfort as a top priority. The jersey’s fit is tailored enough for on-the-bike advantages, but not too aggressive to make you stand out at café stops.

The jersey’s merino blend fabric has been chosen for its naturally wicking and antibacterial properties, along with its ability to both insulate against the cold and to breathe in warmer conditions. As with the rest of the Brevet collection, the jersey’s fabrics are quick drying, an advantage if you’re caught in the rain or want to wash kit by hand on an overnight trip.

The Brevet collection is the result of a trio of Rapha staff taking on the historic Paris-Brest-Paris, in which cyclists from across the world battle to ride 1,200km, unsupported, in less that 90 hours. Their adventure was both the spur to create a new jersey designed for endurance riding, and the perfect testing ground for such a garment.
