The 2017 SRAM Red group is a top-end mechanical road group. Refreshed for 2017, with graphics to match SRAM's eTap electronic-shift group, Red is a high performer, delivering quick, crisp shifting, precise braking control, and exceptional reliability. A plethora of choices are available with this group: control levers are offered to match mechanical or hydraulic braking systems, the second incorporating a fluid reservoir with only slight changes to pivot and profile. An optional Quarq power meter can be had, matching the Red crank and providing precise training data. Five cassette ranges and four chainring ratios allow the rider to choose precisely the gearing desired. All roadies will appreciate the smooth integration of the drivetrain, providing efficient power transfer and good behavior, wet or dry, summer or winter.
