The 2016 SRAM X7 Mountain Group is a mid-range cross-country groupset. Designed for a two-ring drivetrain, from the light, forged aluminum crankset to the 9- and 10-speed rear derailleurs, the 9-speed accommodating wide gearing with a long cage. Construction is lightweight, tough aluminum; the X7 component line is all glossy black with bright white lettering. This year's collection incorporates the shifting mechanism from the top-end XX1 group, for fast, precise shifts under load.
A good off-road group.
