Description

The Giant Trinity Composite 2 has to be one of best time trial / triathlon bikes for its price point. It has a high quality carbon fiber frame with parts from Shimano to ensure quality shifting and reliability every ride. This bike will really suit those getting into triathlons who don't want to spend a fortune first up, and those cyclists who can't justify $10,000 for a time trial bike that won't get a huge amount of use.

The Specialized Shiv Elite is the perfect tri or time trial bike for the intermediate enthusiast. This bike features an aero-engineered carbon frame and fork that is extensively windtunnel tested. A Shimano drivetrain, along with components from TRP, FSA, and Specialized, means incredible performance. Frame-integrated hydration and a pair of AXIS wheels are the crowning touches.

Similar to other Xenith Time Trial models, the 2014 Jamis Xenith T is all about time reduction. It's engineered specifically to bring pedaling efficiency to a maximum while bringing your time on the clock to a minimum. For the ultimate TT performance jump on the 2014 Jamis Xenith T.

The Trek Speed Concept 7.0 offers unrivaled performance for the discerning triathlete or time-trial specialist, for a price that doesn't require a second mortgage. This bike offers advanced carbon construction and radical airfoil shaping to slice through the wind at any angle. Shimano's Dura Ace and workhorse 105 components make up the drivetrain, and Bontrager's integrated cockpit parts and brakes take care of the rest. Wheels made from Bontrager parts are the finishing touch here.

Features

Giant Composite
T-600 raw carbon fiber is used to create the composite material used for these lightweight, stiff and compliant framesets. Blending performance and value, this technology features modified monocoque construction.

- The ultimate frame for all triathlon distances, this Pro 10r Carbon, FACT IS frame with OSBB is optimized for
crosswinds and is the most race-ready aerodynamic frame anywhere
- Designed to fit inside the Shiv's frame, the Fuelselage is the ultimate integrated hydration system. It holds
the same amount as a small water bottle without any aerodynamic penalty
- Fully-adjustable, Specialized Hydroformed Alloy Aerobar fits any rider to provide the fastest position
- Integrated aerodynamic brakes minimize drag for aero excellence
- The Sitero saddle with tri-pod not only allows for optimal power transfer and all day comfort, it also provides
integrated bottle storage behind the rider

High performance carbon fiber composite with mid modulus fibers, Dyad Plus T700/FRP lay-up, Tri/TT frame, NACA compliant profiles, chainstay-mounted rear brake, internal cable routing, integrated seat post clamp design, seat tube with full rear wheel recess, flat-oval top tube, aerofoil seatstays, PressFit 30 BB shell, rear-entry horizontal dropouts with axle-position adjustment bolts, Windshield aero carbon with rear-facing/enclosed front brake for reduced aerodynamic drag, with brake pad adjustment ports.

500 Series OCLV: Each level of OCLV offers the best ride for the money, thanks to an optimal balance of areal weight, stiffness, and compliance. 500 Series OCLV achieves a superb balance of light weight, strength, and stiffness that's perfectly suited to the sophisticated frame technologies that distinguish Trek frames.

Integrated Speed Storage: You need storage, but it can kill your aerodynamics. Bulky cages, flapping tape... major drag. Enter Bontrager Speed Storage, so well fitted to Speed Concept that you and your bike are actually more aerodynamic with it than without. Take your supplies, fuel, whatever you need with you. The more Speed Storage you carry, the less drag you fight.

KVF Tube Shape: The Kammtail Virtual Foil (KVF) tube shape is groundbreaking aero technology. We started with a super-slippery 5:1 airfoil, then cut off the tail at just the right length to trick the wind into thinking the full foil is still there, creating a super-aero virtual tail. Unlike a conventional airfoil, the KVF tube shape retains full aero benefit at yaw (crosswind). The virtual tail bends to maintain its aero shape in the presence of the most prevalent crosswinds. The virtual-tail truncated tube shape allows us to use less material, for a lighter yet stiffer frame.

Invisible Brakes: Speed Concept is the first bike with front and rear brakes built directly into the fuselage. This innovative setup results in less drag and cleaner lines. Not only are the brakes integrated and fast in the wind tunnel, they're now even easier to adjust and set up.

Speed Fin: The Speed Fin performs double duty: it's a powerful brake booster to enhance rear-wheel braking power, and it cheats the wind as an aero rear-wheel fairing.

Electronic Drivetrain Optimisation: Full internal routing with a proprietary seatpost electronic battery mount allow for a perfect interface with the industry-leading drivetrain systems without a single cable tie or strip of tape. It's the most seamless component integration in the industry.

Bontrager Aero Skewers: Even the quick-release skewers on the Speed Concept increase its speed. We integrate them into the shape of the bike for faster aerodynamics.

BB90: BB90 is the widest bottom bracket available on a road bike. This Trek-exclusive carbon BB makes the frame lighter, stiffer, and quicker to accelerate. BB90 eliminates the need for extra inserts and parts in the bottom bracket/frame junction. Fewer parts mean a lighter frame. And a lighter frame means a faster ride.
