Description | Harsh weather? Cold temperatures? The 4S is the way to go. With outstanding wet grip and puncture protection, this clincher delivers a high-performing ride. Its unique tread design is developed to shed water from your path, allowing you to enjoy formidable control, even in challenging weather conditions. Wet or dry, the 4S will rise to the challenge. | The Challenge Paris-Roubaix PRO is a road racing tire designed for cobbles and other uneven surfaces. Its large volume combined with the glued tread offers an exceptionally supple and forgiving ride, easing the impact of pothole or stone. The high-thread casing rolls fast and smooth; this edition incorporates Challenge's double puncture protection strips, adding a quite modest amount of rolling weight (the PRO weighs in at less than 300 grams a wheel) in exchange for increased durability. | Based off of the Slick, the Semi-Slick brings a more aggressive tread pattern to the table for touring and commuter class bikes while still maintaining the integrity provided by the Aither 1.1 puncture-proof compound of all Tannus tires. The Semi-Slick allows for better control on and off the beaten path, where many riders have been hesitant to go for far too long for fear of getting a flat tire. With the Semi-Slick, you can feel confident in taking that path through the park, over the weathered wooden bridge, or down the gravel-strewn lane without the worry of getting a flat or a tear in your tire. The most important aspect of cycling is confidence in your bike; with the Semi-Slick every road gains the ability to change from the road less traveled to the road of fearless exploration. With limitless capability becoming your reality, the only remaining question is if you can keep up.The Tannus Semi Slick 700x28c comes in 2 different and distinct hardnesses. The regular hardness is comparable to riding a conventional tire filled to around 100 psi and the hard version is comparable to riding a conventional tire filled to about 110 psi. The Semi Slick 20" comes in one hardness, comparable to a conventional tire filled to about 100 psi. | Just as with all the Tannus tires, the Slick is made using patented puncture proof resin called Aither 1.1 that allows the Slick design to replicate the weight and resistance of a standard tire and be the only airless bicycle tire to weigh the same as the standard tire, tube, and rim strip combination adopted by many road riders. In addition to the minimal weight and resistance, the Slick repels the elements and provides a guaranteed 5000 miles (8000 km) of flat proof riding. The Slick even excels in wet conditions with increased grip and also offers no stretching in the heat.Without the worry for flats, the Slick can be used for commuting over pesky cobblestones in Roubaix and glass shards in New York back-alleys, rides for the real roadies on the splinter-ridden mountain roads of the Rockies and the gravel-sprayed shoulders of roads across the world, or riding around the neighborhood to see a friend. It doesn’t matter how you use them, it's that you can ride with the surety, comfort, and peace of mind that you deserve. The Slick tires do come in different hardnesses so please be sure to consider how the hardness will affect your ride. |
